Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is the first Georgian university and the oldest institution of higher education in the South Caucasus. Throughout its existence TSU has produced thousands of graduates in various fields, who have played a crucial role in the development of Georgian society. Creation of an Alumni Office is one of the priorities set out in the strategic plan of development of Tbilisi State University. TSU agenda placed the setting up alumni office after the delivery of the Final Report for the Performance Assessment of TSU developed by the Kelly Novak opportunities experts. The expertise was provided to TSU through a generous support of
FORECAST/USAID World Learning/Georgia. Recently established Alumni Office aims to build a powerful network of TSU graduates, to promote a strong relationship between the university and its alumni.
Mariam Keburia - Chief Alumni Officer is responsible for developing a strategy for alumni relations and devising an action plan with an orientation of activating TSU’s links with its alumni. She plans and implements all aspects of alumni relations, organizes the collection and analysis of data.
Nata Topuria -
Alumni Office Consultant is responsible for developing TSU alumni strategy and action plan, organize and plan events. Nata has particular oversight of media relations and alumni on TSU web and social networks.
Tricia Bergman - In country International volunteer, expatriate living in Tbilisi. Tricia is interested in contributing to the development of TSU alumni outreach office. Her activities include: work with TSU staff to explore potentials for alumni relations, fundraising and advancement activities at TSU, work with alumni staff in defining functions /models of alumni affairs, mentoring alumni office team of volunteers, organizing "Starter" alumni event.
